Vendors
This plan is intended for vendors who sell products such as software and want to offer
escrow services to their customers as a standard offering. If you want to integrate
escrow into your standard sales process, this plan is for you.
Vendors can automatically integrate Tower 48 escrow into their services in a fashion where
the vendor sets the price for the escrow service (within reason - see below) and keeps the
majority of the escrow fee.
Vendor accounts work on a per-beneficiary basis. There is no charge to the vendor, unless
beneficiaries are added to the system. As a vendor, you will sell escrow services along
with your products. You set the price! However, we require that the price be not less than
5% of purchase price before discounts and any applicable taxes per year.
You keep 66% of the sale price and we bill you the remainder.
The charged escrow fee covers a 1 year escrow agreement (1 calendar year starting
the first day of the service for the individual beneficiary). At the end of the
year, the beneficiary can choose to renew the escrow agreement for the same price
as the previous year. This can be done by Tower 48, or by the individual vendor.
If the vendor renews the agreement, the vendor keeps 66% of the escrow extension
fee. If Tower 48 renews the agreement with the customer, Tower 48 keeps 66% of the
escrow fee. (Vendors choose whether they want to renew the agreement themselves,
or whether they want Tower 48 to handle the process).
Example
A customer purchases 3 of your product at $100 each.
Calculating the Minimum Charge
The minimum you can charge for our escrow services is 5% of $100 which comes out
to $5 per license. In this case the minimum charge would be $15 for the 3 licenses.
$10 is yours to keep, leaving $5 for Tower48.
A More Realistic Scenario
Of course, you might consider this price too low for this type of service (it certainly
is) and decide to charge $19.95 escrow fee per license instead. In this case, $39.90
is yours to keep and $19.95 goes to Tower48.
Fee Recommendation
Tower 48 recommends you charge 10% - 20% of the purchase price of your asset
as an escrow service fee.
